Redeye At A2IM Indie Week 2016


Last week, Redeye representatives Billy Maupin, Jason Taylor, Alex Ashkenes, Aaron Freeman, Jeff Laughlin, and Walt Lilly attended A2IM Indie Week 2016 in New York City from June 13-16.

Redeye met with affiliate labels Kill Rock Stars, Southern Routes, Barely Dressed Records, Ninja Tune, Infinite Best, Daptone, and Folk Alliance. Redeye also met with fellow industry partners Merlin, Amazon, Spotify, Apple Music, eMusic, Soundcloud, A to Z, Soundexchange, and Next Big Sound.

Redeye held a cocktail mixer sponsored by Neilsen, inviting partners and Indie Week attendees alike to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary. At the end of the week, Redeye affiliates were honored at the 6th Annual Libera Awards. Daptone Records were awarded Label of The Year (fewer than 5 full-time employees), and Ninja Tune accepted both Groundbreaking Album of the Year and Heritage Album of the Year for Kamasi Washington’s The Epic.
